Pick-up from your accommodation and drive to the Sahara desert of Erg Chebbi through the Middle Atlas Mountains and the cedar forests of Azrou.You will pass through the town of Ifrane, known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” because of the architecture of its houses and for being one of the most interesting and wonderful skiing destinations in the country.
After lunch in Midelt, we will continue to Merzouga crossing the valley of Ziz with its splendid Gorges and the town of Erfoud. Late afternoon get in to Merzouga where the adventure begins with camel riding at sunset and overnight in Berber tents in the heart of the dunes.
Early morning wake up for enjoying sunrise over the dunes and camel riding back to the hotel. Have a fresh bath and breakfast in the hotel. Afterwards, leave the quietness of the sahara desert to the bustle of Rissani and Tafilalet, the centre of Allaouit dynasty, then continue the way to the stunning gorges of Todra.
After lunch, you will to Ouarzazate through Boumalne Dades and Roses Valley, which is known for its wide cultivation of Roses. Afterwhile, drive on the road of a thousand Kasbahs on the way to Ouarzazate. Overnight at hotel/Riad.
After breakfast, you’re going to stopover at the Kasbah of Taourirt in Ouarzazate and the film studios before heading to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou. Enchanting Berber architectural structure, the kasbah is about 800 years old. Once arriving at the top of the village hill, there is a great view of the ancient caravan trails, which were used for the sake of trade, and the distant Peaks of the high Atlas mountains. You will also visit the village ruins that still reflect the ancient culture of the Kasbah’s inhabitants.
Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah was a square of many foreign and Moroccan films.
Afterwards, drive to Marrakech through the high Atlas Mountains and numerous Berber villages. Drop-off at your hotel in the evening.
