Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades Gorges – Tinghir

Morning: Depart from Ouarzazate, heading towards the Skoura Oasis. Here, we’ll explore the renowned Kasbah Amridil, a 17th-century fortress offering insights into traditional Moroccan architecture.

Midday: Continue through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to the Rose Valley, famed for its annual rose festival and aromatic products. Enjoy lunch amidst the scenic landscapes.

Afternoon: Proceed to the Dades Gorges, characterized by rugged cliffs and unique rock formations. Take a leisurely walk to appreciate the natural beauty before arriving in Tinghir for dinner and an overnight stay in a comfortable riad.

Day 2: Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga

Morning: After breakfast, visit the Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs reach heights of up to 300 meters.

Midday: Journey through the Ziz Valley, passing lush palm groves and traditional villages. Stop in Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and date festival, for lunch.

Afternoon: Arrive in Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Experience a camel trek into the desert.

Day 3: Merzouga –  Desert Camp

Morning: Visit the village of Khamlia, renowned for their traditional Gnawa music. Enjoy a live performance and learn about their rich cultural heritage.

Midday: Explore the surrounding desert landscapes, visiting nomadic families and experiencing their way of life.

Afternoon: Return to the desert camp for relaxation. Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by traditional music around the campfire.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Alnif – Nkob – Agdz – Ouarzazate

Morning: Depart Merzouga towards Rissani, a historic town known for its vibrant souks .

Midday: Continue through Alnif and Nkob, stopping for lunch with views of the Anti-Atlas Mountains.

Afternoon: Drive along the Draa Valley, the longest river valley in Morocco, lined with date palms and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

Morning: Visit  Ait Benhaddou, a fortified village (ksar) that has served as the backdrop for numerous films.

Midday: Traverse the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass, offering stunning panoramic views and opportunities for photography.
