Our journey begins in Ouarzazate, departing at 8:30 AM, we set out towards the Skoura Oasis, traversing the famed Route of a Thousand Kasbahs.
Upon reaching the Skoura Oasis, we are greeted by a vast expanse of palm groves interspersed . A highlight of this oasis is the Kasbah Amredhil.
Constructed entirely of adobe, the kasbah exemplifies traditional Berber architecture, with thick walls that maintain a cool interior in summer and warmth in winter.
Continuing our expedition, we venture into the Valley of Roses, situated near the town of Kelaat M’Gouna. This valley is celebrated for its extensive cultivation of Damask roses.
The roses are integral to the local economy. A visit to a local cooperative provides an opportunity to observe the production of rose-infused items and to purchase authentic souvenirs.
Our journey culminates at the Dades Gorges, a series of rugged canyons carved by the Dades River. A leisurely walk along the riverbank allows for an intimate encounter with the area’s natural beauty.
